Fermented Garlic

Nature’s antibiotic, garlic! Potent medicinal properties. Add in a salty brine to ferment it and you unlock a whole host of goodness, probiotics and immune boosting properties! Stored away in the cupboard now in time for Christmas and all the lovely dips I will be making. Only 4 weeks to wait.
Garlic has long been associated with many health benefits – from curing a cold to lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It contains vitamins C and B6, manganese and selenium, but it’s a chemical called allicin, a type of antioxidant, which is thought to be responsible for its positive effects.

Top tip, get a helper in to do the garlic peeling bit!!! Thanks to my husband for peeling 20 bulbs of garlic

"Thanks to Janice for this one. A popular staple over at the Wellness Hub @benourishedbynature ."
